the verses that the faithful who are in a position of public and/or pastoral responsibility have to take into account the most. Says so:
A dead fly spoils the perfumer's ointment, and a little madness can outweigh wisdom and honor.
I myself, since I am director of a media outlet like InfoCatólica, have to be especially Telegram Number Data careful in what I say both on this blog and on social networks . And sometimes, I don't have it. And that causes serious damage both to the portal and, even indirectly, to the Church.
Whether I like it more or I like it less, my position implies that any statement I make is analyzed with a magnifying glass . Given that there are many who have InfoCatólico as one of the references to obtain information and form their opinion, my mistakes are more serious than those that another InfoCatólico blogger or columnist may commit. And much more than those of the commentators.
When you make a mistake you have two options:
1- Stay in the mistake .
2- Try to correct it .
The first option only serves to aggravate the undesirable consequences. The second can be done in several ways:
1- Do not make the mistake again but act as if it had not been committed . It doesn't seem like the most appropriate thing to me. Among other reasons, because what appears on the Internet is read by many people and many keep copies.
2- Rectify and apologize publicly . It is better than the first option. Nobody is exempt from making mistakes. And everyone has the right to rectify.

It is not the same as a catechist, a parish priest, a bishop or a cardinal making a mistake. Nor is it the same as a blogger or a director of a Catholic media. So it is good and necessary for the faithful to ask the Lord especially for those who are in positions of responsibility or influence on public opinion within the Church and before society.
