An SEO report template you can use
Now you know the main metrics you need to communicate to your clients or your boss, but how do you make a real report out of them?
The first thing to understand is that reporting almost always needs to be tailored to the company or client you’re working for. Each company has its own requirements and important metrics, so you need to communicate effectively using them.
That said, you need a starting point. In our case, that’s Google Data Studio. You may be used to presenting your clients with static capture reports, PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, usually at the end of the month; but as we’ve said before, clients deserve better.

The days of static reports are over and we strongly believe that in 2021 you need to provide reports that allow your clients or boss to check the progress at any time.
And that's what we're going to look at now, after we've taken a deep dive into some of the metrics you might want to include in your reports. Not everyone is familiar with Data Studio yet; we're also going to show you where to find the information you might need for your report outside of Data Studio.
