If you're in the digital marketing world, you've probably heard of SEO and its many promises to "boost your traffic" and "increase your visibility."
But what is it really? And above all, what are the factors that really impact your website traffic?
Well, I conducted a series of SEO tests to get some clarity on the main possible factors in ranking a web page.

The keywords
Keywords are one of the pillars of SEO. Everyone knows that, right?
But does placing them in your text and lithuania phone number your H2 H3 titles etc really have an impact on your website traffic? The answer is rather yes, but with serious caveats. Those who tell you to place keywords in your HN probably don't know what they're talking about: most articles written on the subject present no proof, no data.
Keywords are fundamentally important because they help search engines understand what your content is about. This is not a reason to overuse them: keyword stuffing, repetition of keywords within the framework of the theory of "semantic density", are in fact useless, ineffective techniques.
By placing relevant keywords in your text and H1 titles, you increase your chances of appearing in search results for these keywords. But keywords alone will not bring consistent traffic. There are various other criteria that need to be validated to get traffic.
The links
There are broadly three types of links, depending on their issue and destination:
incoming links, from another site to my site
internal links, from one page of the same site to another
outgoing links, reverse of incoming links
Which ones really impact the only thing that really matters, traffic?
